It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the 2nd Memory Walk. The Alzheimer Society of Outaouais joins forces once again with the Québec Federation of Alzheimer Societies by organizing a Memory Walk in Outaouais.
This year the event will also take place throughout the province on May 25, 2008.
The walkers will have the option of walking a route of 2.5 km or 5 km on recreational paths that border the Outaouais River in Moussette Park. Afterwards, participants and their families will be invited to a picnic in an enchanting setting and enjoy the presence of jugglers, magicians and musicians.
Walkers will be able to register as of 8:00 a.m. on the day of the walk at the Val Tétreau Pavillion, and the departure will take place at 10:00 a.m.
All the funds collected during this event will be used on the one hand, for the Maison Fleur Ange, a transition residence that provides services to 11 residents of the Outaouais region and, on the other hand, for the various services provided by the Alzheimer Society.
Thanks to your participation in the 2007 walk, a sum of more than $40,000 was collected. In the hopes of exceeding these objectives, we hope we can once again count on your participation during this 2nd edition of the Walk.
