Once again this year, the event will take place throughout the province on May 25th 2008. In Outaouais, walkers will have the option of walking a route of 2.5 km or 5 km, on the recreation trails that run along the Outaouais River in Moussette Park. Afterwards, participants and their families will be invited to picnic in this enchanting setting and be entertained by jugglers, magicians and musicians.
All the funds collected during this event will be used on the one hand, for the Maison Fleur Ange, a transition residence that provides services to 11 residents of the Outaouais region and, on the other hand, for the various services provided by the Alzheimer Society.
Last year, nearly 300 people participated in the Memory Walk and a sum of more than $40,000 was collected. This year, we are hoping to welcome approximately 400 walkers and to collect over $50,000.
