For me as a comedian who carries others' memories and lives, the essence, the crux, the core is my love, my family and my friends. I remain helpless and powerless in the face of this disease, which progressively deprives us of our loved ones.
Since two years, thanks to "J’ai commencé mon éternité" a stage reading on Alzheimer's disease, I have met thousands of people who are confronted with this helplessness, this progressive solitude and the innumerable grievances, large and small. It there is one thing I have understood, it is the duty to remember that is imposed by this disease, it is the importance of expressing oneself and sharing!
It is thus a real privilege for me to join forces with the 2008 Memory Walk in Mauricie and with the inspiring Carpe Diem House, whose innovative approaches as far as the support of people suffering from Alzheimer's disease is concerned, are now recognized throughout the world. So, join me on Sunday May 25th and let's walk together, ensuring that each step taken is a step filled with love, memories, hopes and dignity!
