On April 24, 2006, my mother passed away. She had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for at least five years and, during the last years of her life, she received exceptional care from attentive staff that was respectful of her state and needs. Many volunteers helped us create a comfortable environment for her.

I'm thrilled to take part in this fundraising event, in which our participation in the Memory Walk will enable the building of a second Carpe Diem house in Mauricie.
