Here are the reasons why I accepted to become a spokesperson for this event.
First of all, when I make a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, the impact is often as great or even greater among the loves ones than on the patient himself.
From that point on, life will never be the same again...
This is why I firmly believe in the Alzheimer Society. Be it through training sessions, support groups, individual meetings or direct family support, this resource is essential.
Unfortunately, even if we try to give as much information as possible to the patient and his/her family, we often don't have enough time and the interventions of the Alzheimer Society are of great help.
Moreover, the awareness work that is being carried out among the various authorities of our health care system ensures that the people suffering from this terrible disease can live in dignity, when unfortunately they cannot always assert their rights.
I am thus very honored to accept this invitation and please rest assured of my full collaboration.
Greetings,
Debora Andriuk
